First visit to Capri - Marina Grande

We were lucky to find a lovely apricot-colour hotel close to the main harbour of Capri. So we went back in the evening, stayed for one more night in Naples and next morning started our trip to Capri with all our luggage...As soon as the boat left Molo Beverello, I felt I'm happier than I'd ever been. It was such a warm feeling of happiness like a melted caramel that I felt in my heart and with every little part of my body. The scenery was simply breathtaking - shades of blue and pink with golden splashes of sun. Trip from Molo Beverello to Marina Grande takes about an hour, but you hardly ever notice it. Momentarily you're surrounded by italians and groups of tourists, happy and smiling people, who are either having vacation or are coming back home from their trips to Naples. Simply lovely! And suddenly it was there - a glimpse of Capri's iconic Faraglioni rocks and after that beautiful Marina Grande, the main entrance of Capri. Majestically it rises from the sea with its colorful hotels, small market, a variety of restaurants offering local dishes and the island's transport spots - ticket points and stops for little orange buses and funicular that take you to Capri's center or to Marina Piccola, Capri's most beautiful beach. We had finally arrived. I was at home.
