I don't know what's the story with cats in Capri, but they seem to be a very important part of the island's life. Looking very satisfied, enjoying good food, warmth of the sun, caressing...There is even a famous hotel named after a cat - Hotel Gatto Bianco. Last October (2008) while I was staying there, we became quite good friends with the "host"- white cat Matisse. Real beauty and your friend only when in such a mood - or when you have something good in your bag :) Cat with an attitude! Couldn't capture Matisse, but on the photo is another friend - hotel cat from Weber Ambassador, who was sometimes visiting our balcony. Lovely cats are literally everywhere - on park benches, enjoying the attention at the entrance of the fancy porcelain shop in one of the main shopping streets or glancing at you from the dark while you're making a romantic walk in the Capri night...
